At the regular meeting of the BRDC on April 25, (read the minutes here) the RFQ team indicated they have reached consensus on the top-ranked firms and on a recommendation for a process to develop an agreement to conduct the engineering and feasibility study of options for decommissioning the dams. The meeting is open to the public and all concerned interests are encouraged to attend .
The Boardman River Dams Committee was established by the Implementation Team for the Boardman River Dams Settlement Agreement, which charged the Team with making recommendations to the City of Traverse City and Grand Traverse County about the future of four dams on the Boardman River. The Implementation Team formed a Boardman River Dams Committee in 2005 to engage all interests in developing those recommendations.
