The Boardman River Dams Project

At this time, theboardman.org website is being used primarily for archival purposes. Here you will be able to locate the Settlement Agreement that authorizes the Implementation Team, the Engineering and Feasibility Study that developed options for the fate of the dams, and background information about the river and the dams.

The Boardman River Dams Implementation Team continues to meet on a regular monthly schedule, and is currently in a planning phase to determine the specific roles, steps, and costs for removing the three upstream dams (Brown Bridge, Boardman, and Sabin) and potentially modifying the fourth dam at Union Street. The public is welcome to attend these meetings.

The 2010 meeting schedule, agendas, and minutes of the Implementation Team are temporarily being posted at the City of Traverse City's project website.
